Fab Faux At The State Theatre / Beatles In Full Measure

The Fab Faux Concert - at The State Theatre in New Brunswick - was considerably more expressive of the group's dedication to, and skills in evoking the oeuvre of, The Beatles than their recent John Lennon / 70th Birthday Tribute at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

The band was demonstrably looser, more relaxed and free-flowing in opening up to everything The Beatles could inspire - in the talent and activating the process of relating to the audience.

Skilled and dedicated musical artists, Will Lee, Jimmy Vivino, Rich Pagano, Jack Petruzzelli and Frank Agnello - accompanied by the Creme Tangerine Strings and The Hogshead Horns - took a packed house on a sonic voyage through many aspects and phases of The Beatles finest creative output.

Among a variety of outstanding productions were "Magical Mystery Tour", "Lady Madonna", "Eight Days A Week", "Getting Better", "Good Day Sunshine", "Nowhere Man","Something", "Strawberry Fields Forever", the medley from "Abbey Road", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Help" and - with sitar - "Love You To."

Remarkably warm and gracious, Will, Jack and Rich helped the time we shared with them at the apres-show get together go flying. Their delight with - and encouragement of - children's interest in the music and message of The Beatles was a tremendous inspiration.

The Fab Faux have developed a very well earned reputation - as musicians and with a vast following - of great fidelity and love in bringing the magic and mastery of The Beatles to life, and in keeping their spirit and message vibrant for years to come.
