Katie Holmes - / Glamour And Liberation

Katie Holmes expresses a fusion of the freedom enjoyed by today's women with a glamour that transcends time and trends.

She has achieved balance between starring roles on stage, screen and television and coming home to beautiful daughter Suri and heart-throb husband Tom Cruise.

Soon to portray Jackie Kennedy in a mini-series on the History Channel, Katie has taken on a remarkable variety of roles, including "The Ice Storm" and "Batman Begins" in cinema, "Dawson's Creek" on television (she turned down the lead role in "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer", which went on to achieve great success as a long-running series), and - following her debut in Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" - Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music" on Broadway.

Events and elements have settled down greatly around "TomKat" - as the couple are affectionately known - since their whirlwind courtship, which started in 2005. Cruise made worldwide headlines when he professed his love for Katie by jumping up and down on Oprah's couch. He proposed to her - soon after - at the top of the Eiffel Tower (she accepted). Suri was born on April 18, 2006 - exactly one year to the day from when the couple had met.

In a recent NEW YORK Magazine profile (she appeared in a famous Jackie Kennedy pose on the cover), Katie described Suri as "...strong-willed and determined." and a very savvy fashion advisor. She describes Cruise as "...helpful, sweet and gracious. He's quite an incredible human being." Home schooling for Suri allows the two stars to continue the flow of their careers, also providing the opportunity for them to "...collaborate on everything at home."

The growth in her acting and family lives has brought Katie Holmes well deserved recognition as a paragon of vibrancy, talent, caring and liberation who serves a a shining example to generations of women around the world.
