Jennifer Aniston - Best Friend

Jennifer Aniston possesses a most rare and remarkable blend of inner and outer beauty, intelligence and grace. Her compassion runs so deep that she still offers guidance and advice to Brad Pitt - the man who left her for another woman (Anjelina Jolie) - after a 7 year marriage.

She won an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role as Rachel in the television comedy "Friends". The show ran for 10 seasons, and Jennifer entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest paid TV actress of all time - $1 million per episode for the final 2 years of the series. Such recognition - and reward - marked great strides in the growth of women's power and influence in the Hollywood firmament.

The longevity of "Friends" can be understood in great part by the show's expression of the then-novel concept that women and men could coexist and share experiences fully as intellectual and emotional equals, albeit with overtones of emotionality, passion, and romance.

"Friends" serves as an inspiration unto the current generation. The highly successful CBS series "How I Met Your Mother" carries on the values of the dynamic of shared human values - with a focus on friendship -  now involving both a married couple and their single friends who are continuing their search for lifetime love.

Jennifer's film career has also been successful. She reached her biggest box office returns so far in "Bruce Almighty" (opposite Jim Carey) and starred in "Along Came Polly" with Ben Stiller. She has also tried her hand at drama in such films as "The Good Girl" and "Friends With Money".

"Marley and Me" - which opened on Christmas Day, 2008 - set a record for the largest Christmas Day box office ever, at $14.75 million. The film earned $51.7 million for the 4 day Holiday weekend, and stayed at #1 for 2 weeks. Worldwide, the film grossed $242,717,113.

"He's Just Not That Into You" ranked #1 and made over $27.5 million in its opening weekend.

As of 2009, her films have grossed well over $900,800,000 in the US and over $1.5 billion worldwide.

Since the end of "Friends", Jennifer has appeared on a few television shows, including the very popular "30 Rock".

Jennifer's charity work has supported an orphanage in Tijuana (Friends of El Faro), St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (for which she has appeared in television ads), "It Can't Wait " (to free Burma) and "Oprah's Big Give".

Jennifer Aniston is a  "Best Friend" - a role model to women around the world and to all who come to respect and admire her talent, generosity, true total beauty and grace.
